Tooling the transition
We are involved in putting land use restraint into practice. As a organisation at the crossroads of research, operations and advocacy, the Institute is actively involved in implementing and scaling up the transition in land use.
To this end, we are creating tools using a collective and empirical approach. These are the economic models, technical standards and governance instruments that are currently lacking to enable widespread land preservation.
As a public interest organisation, the Institute co-designs projects and oversees their development by first by bringing together a collective of stakeholders (public agencies, companies, local authorities, scientific experts, associations), then by engineering the project, with a phase of developing a theoretical version of the tool, which is then tested in the field and in use cases submitted by our members.
