Soils Diagnosis
Feasibility study of soil diagnostics in property and land sales
The Soils Transition Institute, with the support of ADEME and OFB, is conducting a feasibility study on the implementation of soil health diagnostics in land transfers. In the context of changes in national policies (ZAN, National Biodiversity Strategy 2030, climate change adaptation) and European policies (Restore Regulation, draft directive on soil monitoring), there is an urgent need to collect data on soils. This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic methods that can be used and their technical, legal, operational and financial feasibility in the context of land transfers. The aim is to assess the potential for implementing these methods in relation to public policy objectives (public data, assessment), market objectives (functioning of the property market and effect on prices), and objectives to raise awareness of soil quality.
